At my dad's memorial I ran into an old family friend. She asked me what I was doing these days. Feeling sheepish, I said, "I'm unemployed."
She said, "You should apply to be a flight attendant. I could help you get in."
I said, "I'm too short."
She answered, "Not any more!"
A few days later I applied online. It was a long arduous online application. It was a little tricky because I was in Hartford City, IN, helping my mom after the memorial and didn't have all my information. But I got it together enough. I left no holes. I said I'd relocate.
Then there was silence.
