The Interview

My friend from the airline says that they are getting 1000 applications a day. So I guess it was hugely my friend that got me the interview. It was kind of fun. They flew me to MKE and I stayed in the Wyndham Airport Hotel. It was a decent hotel. I took a bath and watched TV. I had breakfast delivered in the AM.
The interview was scheduled at 9 am. I got to the interview room at 8:25 am. There were already 8, or so, people there before me. We all chatted a little nervously. They started the interview around 9:30. There were about 30-40 people in the room. They gave a presentation that I might name "Why you should not be a Flight Attendant." It was somewhat convincing. Then we filled out paperwork and they started the rounds of one-on-one interviewing.
A lot of the other interviewees were really nice. I'm hoping I run into a few of them again. I thought my interview went ok. They said they'd call back in 3 to 6 weeks.
I had about 2 hours before I had to leave for the airport. I took a bus to downtown MKE. It reminded me of Toledo, where I grew up. The downtown was ghost-ish compared to SEA's downtown. I took a picture of the Art Museum (the whale-ish building in photo above). Didn't have time to go through it. It was just fun riding through town and texting photos to Rachel.
No movie on the flight home. So lame.
