Day 9 or 10: I don't know for sure

Starting to learn where everything is in the plane and what everything is called. Did you know that on the Embraer 170/175 pilots have ropes hanging over their seats in case they need to emergency evac out the front windows? So manly. The rest of us take inflatable slides.

Oh, and if an evac slide is accidentally deployed it costs the company $57,000 and somebody's job.

So tired and so overloaded with all I have to memorize.

Prayers appreciated.

Thanks.

  1. I knew you had better memory than you thought you did.
I'm intrigued by the way that they isolate anyone that backs out. Are they worried about mutiny? Are you on a pirate ship? do they walk the plank?
If we ask you questions, will you ask them in class and tell us the answers? Such as, do they still let little kids into the cockpit to talk to the pilots? And, are there air marshals on every flight? and do you actually get drunker at high altitude?

  2. Heh, Kids might be allowed to peek inside the cabin if there is time allowing before a flight takes off - they didn't cover that but there is a lot for the FA to keep her mind on since the plane is not allowed by the faa to take off unless all baggage is stowed and all seatbelts are on, etc.

There are not FAM's on every flight but some pilots can get certified to carry a gov issue gun.

Don't know about the alcohol thing.

I do think that they want to prevent negative impact or spiteful actions on the part of somebody that has to leave. It's kind of weird though.

    Thanks for reading!
