Wings WINGS Wings!!

Well, I did it. I got my wings. Can't fly without them.
I have to admit I almost cried when we had our mini graduation ceremony. It was tough --but we did it-- and the feeling of accomplishment and relief was palpable.
Then they shuffled us all off to the airport in our squeaky new uniforms and we all went home. Almost anti-climactic.
Here are some random photos:

  4. Thanks guys. Then next step is in-flight training. I have to get checked off on the actual job on real flights in the air. Starts next week. We'll see if the training actually works.

  5. CONGRATS!!! Your Wings are Amazing and so well deserved! You worked hard for those Wings, way harder than anybody can understand unless they have done it too, and it is such an accomplishment to receive them, SO WAY TO GO!!! (and its okay to cry when getting them, its a much needed release!) I'm so excited for you and have enjoyed reading your blog, Rachel hooked me up to it. It brought back so many memories, many that made me feel sick to my stomach from the stress of it all and I never want to think about initial training again, however there are good/fun memories too! :) You understand that now!

Good luck with your training flights, have fun, smile, try not to shake too much when pouring drinks and just relax. And if you spill on someone, just tell them its your first day, its amazing how nice people are when they know its your first day! ha ha! Do you know where you are based yet? Congrats again and Fly Safe!!! WOO HOO!!! aimee

  6. Way to go Dangermouse! I am looking forward to the reality show or the screenplay. "Wingin' it." Or "Airheads." Congratulations. I look forward to reading your exploits. Should you ever hit Tucson for more than 50 minutes, let me know.

  7. Thanks for the enthusiasm, Aim. I didn't do anything too crazy on my training flights but people knew I was training. One passenger said I had good cadence with my announcements - hee hee.
